When you play sports, you get tanned. And my tan just wouldn’t fade. I always had issues with people telling me I had gotten darker. They would suggest natural remedies such as curd, turmeric, milk, etc. In South India, especially when a girl hits puberty, you have a lot of celebrations. When I hit puberty, it was a big deal.
